Purpose of the job:

The Equipment Maintenance Coordinator is a member of Technical team and manages equipment maintenance activities and operational interfaces including emergencies, scheduled and unscheduled unit outages and any other maintenance-related activities, leveraging internal and external resources. They are main responsible for identifying/scheduling/executing maintenance work processes as well as for aligning maintenance priorities with the objective of ensuring 100% compliance and high asset availability.

Summary of responsibilities:

Prepare and execute preventive maintenance plans.

Organize and follow up maintenance contracts in line with operational requirements.

Communicate daily/weekly maintenance plans and their impact to the organization.

Use the MMS (Maintenance Management System) and record all maintenance interventions performed in the maintenance report in the assigned folder structure.

Carry out periodic inspections of the condition of equipment and facilities and quickly resolve problems, damage, or other issues.

Provide input for investment plans.

Control/track and support the commissioning of new equipment.

Support in obtaining Industry 4.0 license for equipment.

Communicate with third parties (Ministry of Health, Port Authority) for the necessary approvals as applicable.

Always ensure that work is carried out with the correct documentation and in compliance with safety procedures.

Identify suppliers for the purchase of maintenance products, materials, and services, in collaboration with purchasing department for emission of Purchase Orders, following up until Goods Receipt.

Ensure constant compliance with quality control standards.

Continuously improve the efficiency and results of the work performed by maintenance providers.

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

5+ Years job-related experience, in a company or maintenance service provider.

Experience in maintenance management and in coordination of maintenance projects.


Technical Skills & Knowledge Required:

Experience in heavy equipment management/handling (e.g. cranes, reach stacker, earthmoving machinery).

Mechanical maintenance basics.

Industry 4.0 and tax exemption procedures

Ability to manage service and equipment contracts.

Data tracking and reporting (e.g. fuel consumptions, activities, etc).

Good knowledge of PC tools.

Language Requirements:

Spoken and written English

Other Requirements:

 Valid EU work permit

 Willing to relocate to Trieste at short notice.
